EUROMOD Team

New positions in the Fiscal Policy Analysis team

The Fiscal Policy Analysis team is looking for three Economic Analysts with the following profiles: EUROMOD/Microsimulation Modelling (deadline: 8th March 2022), Corporate Taxation (deadline: 8th March 2022) and General Equilibrium (deadline: 14th March 2022). Come and join the Fiscal Policy Analysis team in Seville!

Alberto Tumino

Alberto recently left the JRC, after spending six years as project leader of the EUROMOD team. Alberto played a key role in the successful transfer of the model maintenance and update from the University of Essex to the European Commission. His career has been linked to EUROMOD for many years since, before joining the JRC, Alberto worked as a Senior Research Officer at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER, University of Essex, UK), where he was also part of the EUROMOD team. In addition to his activity as EUROMOD project leader, Alberto has carried numerous research and policy support projects on issues related to tax and social benefits. It was a privilege to have him in the team and we wish him the very best in his next adventures!

EUROMOD Statistics and Reports

As in previous years, the EUROMOD team has produced three documents summarising the main results obtained with the latest version of the model: the Statistics on the Distribution and Decomposition of Disposable Income (Webstatistics), the EUROMOD baseline report and the PET indicators. All these documents will be published in our website very soon, we kindly invite to visit it often!

4th JRC Fiscal Policy Modelling Workshop

The JRC is organising the 4th JRC Fiscal Policy Modelling Workshop which will take place on 23-25 March 2022.

As in previous occasions, the JRC Fiscal Policy Modelling Workshop focusses on the use of economic modelling for fiscal policy analysis. It gathers leading researchers and policy makers from Europe and the US working on topics closely related to the JRC’s own research agenda in the fiscal policy area.
