Fostering digital collaboration

Welcome to our first Newsletter for 2021! In this edition we delve into a theme that’s quite close to Joinup’s core objective: interoperability. And, specifically, the topics we’ve handpicked for this edition focus on improving the quality of European digital public services with the help of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF). Thanks to the EIF, public administrations have the possibility to set up interoperable cross-border digital services that save time, money and… some sleep.

This is where the EIF Toolbox enters the picture. It acts as a guiding tool for national public administrations attempting to align their National Interoperability Frameworks (NIFs) with the EIF. To find out more about it, we interviewed Miguel Alvarez Rodriguez, EC Project Officer of the National Interoperability Framework Observatory (NIFO), who illustrates why this toolbox is so important.

Enjoy & stay safe!
