Dear colleagues and partners,

We are thrilled to announce that SEMIC is making a grand return on 27 June in Brussels, the heart of the European Union!

The conference is co-organised by the European Commission in partnership with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and Digital Flanders. This year, SEMIC 2024 adopts an ambitious theme: “Interoperable Europe: From Vision to Reality”.

As you can guess, the key focus will be the transformative objectives of the new Interoperable Europe Act, bridging visionary goals and concrete actions for a seamlessly connected European digital public sector.

What to Expect?

Prepare for a day brimming with insightful discussions on the effective deployment of interoperability solutions, AI applications, digital-ready policymaking, enhancing interoperability within data spaces, and of course – semantic interoperability. A special emphasis on intergovernmental cooperation promises to foster a collaborative environment that transcends national borders.

Ahead of the main conference, 26 June will feature a day of technical pre-conference workshops, offering hands-on learning opportunities on critical topics in public sector interoperability.

As we gear up for SEMIC 2024, we invite you to mark your calendars, check your flights and stay tuned for more updates.  You can also read more about the event in our latest article on Joinup

Warm regards,

The Interoperable Europe Team

P.S. While registration will open soon, this is your early heads-up to save the date. We look forward to welcoming you to SEMIC 2024, an event that promises to be both practical and inspiring!
