Dear colleagues,
The next release (9.9.0) is coming on 30 April 2023; therefore, we would like to share information about the timeline and expected upgrade policy for toolkit changes.
Please note that the release of Toolkit is performed monthly on the last day of each month with a graceful period of 60 calendar days to upgrade. Our continuous integration pipeline will monitor and ensure that a proper version is in place during the delivery and before merging any new code into the reference.
See below a practical example of the expected timeline:
- Release of version 9.9.0 on 30 April 2023;
- Release of version 9.10.0 on 31 May 2023;
- Version 9.9.0 became a requirement on 29 June 2023, forcing upgrade for non-compliant projects;
- Version 9.10.0 became a requirement on 30 July 2023, forcing upgrade for non-compliant projects.
Also, I would like to highlight the following day, 1 May 2023; as announced previously, older versions of toolkit 8.x will become unsupported. No support for these versions will be possible. We strongly recommend upgrading to version 9.8.1 as soon as possible and keeping it updated monthly to avoid disruptions in your delivery calendar and make use of the latest hotfixes and improvements.
