Service procedures and guidelines
Deployments during end-of-year period

Due to lower available capacity during the end-of-year period and to ensure code stability during the Commission holidays (23 December to 2 January), please be aware of the following guidelines related to deployments in the Drupal hosting infrastructure:

- Sites in dedicated hosting infrastructure: it is not recommended to perform deployments from 16 December to 3 January, as DIGIT support will not be available.

- Sites in shared hosting infrastructure: it is not possible to perform deployments from 22 December to 3 January, as DIGIT Quality Assurance service will not be available.
Planned maintenance
Maintenance impacting cloud sites on 15 December

Sites hosted in DIGIT Drupal cloud infrastructure (AWS) might be impacted by the upgrade of Web Linux hosts taking place on 15 December from 19.00 to 23.00.

During that time frame:

- Each site might be down for five minutes.
- It is recommended not to launch any deployment.
Maintenance impacting deployments on 15 December

The Drupal infrastructure related with deployments will be in maintenance mode on 15 December from 6.00 to 8.00 AM due to an infrastructure upgrade.

During that time frame:

- No deployments will be possible on Gitlab and Drone.
- Unavailability of access to Gitlab services.

It provides technical information to professionals involved in the creation and/or management of public information websites hosted under the europa.eu domain, in particular, those websites using the Europa Web Publishing Platform or Open Europa (based on Drupal technology) and related Webtools services.

The information on this newsletter does not require any action from owners of sites built with the Europa Web Publishing Platform. As product owner, DG COMM will contact those site owners for action when necessary.
