Dear Endorsers of the Manifesto for EU COVID-19 Research,
First of all we would like to thank you for endorsing the Manifesto when it was launched in July 2020.
We are happy to share with you a letter from Mr Jean-Eric Paquet, Director General of DG Research and Innovation of the European Commission, in which he would like to inform you about the extension of the duration of the Manifesto until 1 January 2023.
Mr Paquet also encourages you to share with us the concrete actions you have undertaken so far in line with the Manifesto principles by filling in a dedicated survey by next 31 March 2022.
We thank you for your continuous commitment towards better sharing of intellectual assets. While this initiative is targeting the COVID-19 pandemic it is important to examine whether the Manifesto approach could be applied to other societal challenges or crisis situations, to foster faster uptake of results and delivery of solutions.
