Welcome to the October newsletter of ISA² programme!

We are happy to share with you highligths from the 1^stdigital edition of SEMIC, the annual semantic interoperability conference, which took place fully online on 15 October 2020. Thanks to everybody who joined! For those who didn't make it, the recordings will be available soon.

As the European Commission is currently evaluating the ISA² programme and the European Interoperability Framework to present a reinforced public sector interoperability policy in 2021, we need your feedback! Check out the roadmaps and have your say.

Our National Interoperability Framework Observatory (NIFO) action published a new study: The state-of-play report on digital public administration and interoperability 2020. The report provides a snapshot of the developments of digital public administration and interoperability in Europe.

The state-of-play report on digital public administration and interoperability 2020 published

A new study The state-of-play report on digital public administration and interoperability 2020 is now available. The report was published on within the framework of the National Interoperability Framework Observatory (NIFO) action of the ISA² Programme.

Core Assessment Vocabulary for public review

The Common Assessment Method Standards and Specifications (CAMSS) team launched a public consultation regarding their last solution: the new Core Assessment Vocabulary (CAV).

SOLID workshop highlights

On 6 October the SEMIC team organised a fully digital Solid Hands-on Workshop, guided by Ruben Verborgh, professor at Ghent University and member of the Solid core team.

Report: Exploring Digital Government Transformation in the EU

The report on Exploring Digital Government Transformation in the EU in now published. This report presents the final results of the research “Exploring Digital Government Transformation in the EU: understanding public sector innovation in a data-driven society”.

The Digital Innovation Challenge Bootcamp: The finalists

The Digital Innovation Challenge is reaching its final stages. A co-creation boot camp, which took place over three days (28–30 September) in a virtual reality environment, brought together the top 10 candidates and announced three finalists, some of which are using our solutions.

EU Datathon 2020: Bringing innovative solutions with the help of open data from the European Union

The 4th edition of EU Datathon culminated on 15 October 2020 with the online finale, as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities.

Webinar: GeoDCAT-AP 2.0

The Semantic Interoperability Community (SEMIC) action of the ISA² programme will hold its very first webinar on GeoDCAT-AP 2.0 on 9 November 2020 at 10:00 (CEST Time).

ABR webinar: BRegDCAT-AP and reusable tools

The ABR team is pleased to invite you to the upcoming webinar on BRegDCAT-AP specification and reusable open source tools that will take place on 16 November 2020 between 10:00 and 11:30am CET.

Virtual breakfast: Policy making after shock is digital–ready – Are you ready?

On 17 November 2020, the ISA² Legal Interoperability Action is organising a virtual breakfast “Policy making after shock is digital-ready – Are you ready?”. The event will take place in the global framework of the OPSI “government after shock event”.
