The Brussels Economic Forum 2019

The Brussels Economic Forum is the flagship annual economic event of the European Commission and the place to be if you want to be at the heart of stimulating debates and share new perspectives on Europe's economic challenges with influential speakers and participants.

#EUBEF19 reached a record number of participants and focused on Choosing a new economic agenda for Europe. We had very inspiring discussions on:

• Understanding the economic roots of the populist backlash
• A new global order: inward or outward looking?
• A new social contract for Europe?
• A new kind of growth for Europe?

We also had a very a stimulating opening speech by Nobel-Prize winner Christopher Pissarides on the Future of Work and a Ted-style talk by Prof Stefanie Stantcheva that was widely appreciated by the audience and on social media. We are especially proud to have welcomed 50% of women among our speakers.
