As part of international efforts to meet the Paris targets, the International Platform on Sustainable Finance was created in October 2019. Members are the European Union and relevant authorities from Argentina, Canada, Chile, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Senegal, Singapore, Switzerland – and now Japan. The platform’s goal is to encourage the environmentally sustainable investment of private capital at a global level, and to promote integrated markets for environmentally sustainable finance.
