Ms Kirstine Troldborg has taken up her duties as the new Representative for Denmark at Eurojust, replacing Mr Torben Thygesen. She was previously Head of International Affairs at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions of Denmark.

Mr Pavel Zeman has taken up his duties as the new National Member for the Czech Republic at Eurojust today, succeeding Mr Lukáš Starý. Mr Zeman joins the Agency for a second term, having previously served as the first Czech National Member following the country’s accession to the European Union in 2004.

Mr Branislav Boháčik has started his work as the new National Member for Slovakia at Eurojust. Mr Boháčik has been appointed for a term of five years and succeeds former National Member and Eurojust President Mr Ladislav Hamran, whose mandate ended in November 2024.

Mr Paweł Wąsik took up his duties as the new National Member for Poland at Eurojust this week. He replaces Mr Marius Skowronski and will serve a term of four years. Mr Wąsik is an experienced public prosecutor who has been posted at the Agency since 2016 as Assistant to the National Member for Poland. He currently heads the Economic Crime Team at Eurojust.

Cooperation with countries outside the European Union to fight impunity for war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity will be bolstered by a dedicated new project launched at Eurojust.

Building on six years of successful support to national law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and judicial authorities (JAs) in the field of electronic evidence, Europol and Eurojust launched the third phase of the SIRIUS project in January 2025.

Prosecutors from the Western Balkans and Latin America gathered in Lima (Peru) for a meeting aimed at enhancing international cooperation in the fight against organised crime. The event, ‘’Networking for Impact: Enhancing Cross-Border Cooperation Between Western Balkan and Latin American Prosecutors in the Area of Organised Crime’’ marked a significant step towards advancing joint efforts to dismantle international criminal networks.

Twenty-nine criminal justice representatives from six South Partner Countries (SPCs) and eleven European Union Member States gathered to share knowledge and exchange best practices on international judicial cooperation related to tackling trafficking in human beings.

Global cooperation is key to ensuring safety and fighting the increasingly numerous international operating criminal networks. On 7 March, representatives from 15 Latin American countries visited Eurojust to experience first-hand how the Agency ensures that judicial authorities can work together swiftly and safely.
