These are the 2024 European Green Capital and Green Leaf Winners
As announced at the Awards Ceremony in Grenoble on 27 October, the new European Green Capital 2024 is Valencia in Spain, and the two European Green Leaf winners are Elsinore in Denmark and Velenje in Slovenia.

Created in the context of the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030, the European BiodiverCities project is based on citizens’ involvement in the co-creation of solutions that improve urban biodiversity and green infrastructures in European cities by 2030.
Ten European Green Capital winners and four European Green Leaf called to join the EU Missions
Copenhagen, Lahti, Stockholm, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Lisbon, Nantes, Grenoble, Ljubljana, Oslo, Bristol, Leuven, Gabrovo, Lappeenranta, Velenje were called to join the EU Mission for 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030.
