November GPP News Alert

Dear colleague,

We are pleased to announce the publication of the November issue of the EU GPP News Alert.

In this month’s issue you can read about the results of some investigative work recently carried out by the Nordic Council of Ministers into the potential of ‘greening’ national framework contracts for various goods and services.

Complementing the results of the research work, a deeper insight into the practicalities of purchasing environmentally clean vehicles is provided in this month’s interview. Jonas Ericson from the City of Stockholm shares his views and some of the City’s experiences on how to turn a conventional fleet into a clean one.

More good practice – this time in the area of construction – is detailed in the GPP Example from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom, which recently opened a new Pavilion building meeting a minimum BREEAM score of ‘excellent’.

The European GPP Criteria for Office Buildings is also now available in 22 languages. New guidance material to help put green purchasing into action and a collection of good practice cases on how to engage with potential suppliers for public procurement are also featured in this edition of the GPP News Alert.

Happy reading!

Kind regards,
