Issue of August 2023

Welcome to this month’s issue of the Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub Newsletter.

As the programme nears the final stage, we are delighted to announce the joint final conference of the European Commission’s Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub (RECAH) and Energy Communities Repository (ECR) – more on this later in the newsletter.

The RECAH team continue to work hard to accelerate the energy transition; they have recently published their fifth guidance document and are currently developing a further three. They have also begun the process of translating the guidance documents into Bulgarian, French, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, and Romanian. Again, more details can be found in this newsletter, where we also provide an update on the technical assistance currently being provided by RECAH to 25 rural energy communities across Europe.

With the Energy Breakfast Series networking sessions underway, now is a great time to join the 500+ RECAH network members already invested in the energy transition. The recordings of each session will be made available to all network members.

We would like to kindly ask you to forward this newsletter to any stakeholders that might be interested in:

  • providing their expertise to the technical assistance programme;
  • accessing our guidance documents and best practice case studies;
  • staying up to date with the initiative; and/or
  • sharing details of the initiative with their network.

They can sign up to receive our future newsletters here.

Kind regards,

The RECAH Team
