DUE TO RUSSIAN AGGRESSION ON UKRAINE (WHICH BEGUN ON 24.02.2022), ALL INTERNATIONAL ENERGY PRICES WENT UP TO A NEW LEVEL. Prices for Euro 95, diesel, and LPG stabilized after they went up in the first Monday of 2023 due to increasing Excises or VAT or Other indirect taxes in a number of Member States. Prices for heating oil have gone up due to colder weather finally coming. Luxembourg, Poland and Sweden increased VAT and Excises. Italy and Portugal increased Excise taxes. Austria and Latvia increased Other indirect taxes. Hungary ended price cap for Euro 95 and Diesel. France ended discount on retail price and increased excises for Diesel. Germany introduced from 1.1.2023 bio component of 5% for Euro 95 and 7% for diesel, increased excise for LPG and introduced explicite Other indirect taxes based on CO2 for Euro 95, diesel, LPG and heating oil. Croatia joined Eurozone and Schengen area on 1.1.2023.
