Launch of the SRI platform, 16th December

The SRI platform contributes to the promotion of the SRI and related best practices. It acts as an exchange forum involving all stakeholders interested in the SRI, and a forward-looking discussion hub for technical, regulatory and implementation aspects of the SRI.

You are kindly invited to join the online kick-off meeting of the SRI platform, on 🗓️ 16th December from 09:30 to 12:00 CET. This meeting will bring together Member States and all stakeholders interested in the SRI.

The SRI platform will also operate working groups which will focus on specific elements of the SRI (for instance, on exchanging feedback from SRI testing phases, on methodological aspects such as service catalogues, on SRI certificate design, etc.). The scope of each working group and the terms of reference for participation will be introduced during this first plenary meeting.

A detailed agenda will be communicated later in a dedicated newsletter.

SRI assessment package

The SRI assessment package comprises the SRI calculation framework, modelled in a MS Excel spreadsheet, and a practical guide for assessors focusing on the use of the spreadsheet tool.

These elements are available on request at support@smartreadinessindicator.eu. You will be asked to read and agree with our Terms and Conditions before we send you the assessment package.

SRI training

The SRI support team has developed a slide deck to train experts that will rate smart readiness of buildings as part of the testing or implementation phase.

SRI R&D related topics

The SRI support team and its activities (e.g. training material, the SRI platform, etc.) focus on testing and implementation of the SRI as it was established in the legal acts. Are you interested in broader research and innovation activities related to smart buildings and the potential future evolutions of the SRI (e.g. fully data driven assessments)? Then you should consider joining the European Smart Buildings Community managed by the Horizon 2020 SmartBuilt4EU project.

SmartBuilt4EU develops a Strategic Research Agenda combined to policy recommendations to support the further uptake of smart buildings. Interested stakeholders are invited to register to the SBIC (Smart Buildings Innovation Community operated by SmartBuilt4EU) and to contribute to one or more of its task forces:

Task Force 1: Interactions with users
Task Force 2: Efficient building operation
Task Force 3: Interactions with the external environment
Task Force 4: Crosscutting issues (data, business & financing)
