About Batteries Europe

Batteries Europe is the European Technology and Innovation Platform on Batteries, the one-stop shop for battery research in Europe. The Platform aims to gather battery experts from the entire battery value chain, making Europe a competitive, self-sufficient and sustainable actor in the battery research ecosystem.

The Batteries ETIP is composed by six Working Groups of battery experts, a National and Regional Coordinators Group gathering representatives from Member States and Regions andis managed by a Governing Board of Industry and Research Organisations.

Highlights

Batteries Europe unveils research and innovation priorities for the short term

The six Working Groups of Batteries Europe have identified research topics to be prioritised in the next years for improving the competitiveness of the European battery value chain.

Proposal for a European public-private Partnership on Batteries

A proposal for a European public-private Partnership for an industrial battery value chain has been published on May 2020 and will see Batteries Europe stakeholders involved.

One year-anniversary of the launch of Batteries Europe

Batteries Europe was launched one year ago in Brussels, Belgium, with Working Groups and the National and Regional Coordinators Group kicking off their activities.

"Sustainable batteries: An ally for the green recovery" at EUSEW

Batteries Europe held a session at the European Sustainable Energy Week in collaboration with Battery2030+, titled "Sustainable batteries: an ally for the green recovery".
