Happy Holidays and a Brilliant New Year!

With our last newsletter edition in 2021, an exciting – and sometimes challenging – first year of the India IP SME Helpdesk draws to a close. Many thanks for joining us on this journey and for being part of our community.

We would like to wish you a peaceful Holiday season and a good start into a healthy and successful New Year.

We'll be back in January with more IP updates and look forward to lots of new activities in 2022.

The Helpline service provides first-line assistance on Intellectual Property protection and IP rights enforcement in India. All questions sent through this service will receive a tailor-made answer by our IP experts or it will be signposted to appropriate organisations within no more than 3 working days.

Latest IP updates in India
India patent agent examination call still open
The Indian government invites eligible candidates under Section 126 of the Patents Act, 1970 to submit online applications and appear before the Patent Agent Examination -2020(2022), which is likely to be held on 08/05/2022. Online registration started on 22/11/2021 and ends on 27/12/2021.

Want to monitor the latest IP registrations in India? Check the weekly journal of Intellectual Property India
If you are looking to commercialise your technology in foreign markets, it is fundamental to monitor your competitor´s work and obtain a full picture of your freedom to operate. We have joined forces with the teams of the other international IP Helpdesks to bring you this guide dealing with IP protection strategies for EU SMEs specifically before, during and after participating in trade fairs or exhibitions in China, South-East Asia, India and Latin-America.
