Following the establishment of the first eight EDMO Hubs under the EU Digital Europe Programme, a new call is open until 22 February. The Hubs will be part of a European multidisciplinary community that will detect, analyse and expose disinformation in Europe as well as provide knowledge of local information environments. On 15 December, EDMO held an information session on the call.

Lauri Tierala joined EDMO at the School of Transnational Governance in January as Programme Director. His new role will be crucial for the next stage of development of EDMO. The EDMO network welcomes him.

On 1-2 December EDMO launched a new training module on ‘’Advanced fact-checking techniques and tools” providing fact-checkers from across Europe with insights on the latest tools and techniques in automated fact-checking.

At the 16th Annual Internet Governance Forum
|
|
The 2021 Internet Governance Forum, held between 6-10 December 2021, offered a great opportunity for EDMO to present its multi-stakeholder approach to tackling online disinformation. The panel generated strong interest for cooperation from many stakeholders worldwide.
