Regulation to extend the time limits related to the European Citizens’ Initiative in response to the COVID-19 pandemic is adopted.

The European Parliament and the Council have adopted on 15 July, the Commission’s proposal allowing to extend the time limits for the collection, verification and examination phases applicable to European citizens’ initiatives. In particular, this measure aims to help initiative organisers whose campaigns have been impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.
