Commission proposes temporary measures for European Citizens’ Initiatives in the COVID-19 context
|
The Commission has aadopted a proposal introducing temporary measures for the implementation of the European Citizens’ Initiative necessary in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak. As a result of the Member States’ measures to slow down the COVID-19 outbreak, public campaigning and paper collection of statements of support has become nearly impossible.
The proposed temporary measures will offer relief to organisers and main stakeholders by allowing them additional time to collect statements of support.
