Dear members of the Brussels Economic Forum community.
We hope you and your family are well in these difficult times.
Given the exceptional circumstances we are all living through as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to hold the Brussels Economic Forum on 9 of June as planned.
Of course this was a very difficult decision for us to take as we were looking forward to welcoming you all to our special 20th anniversary edition with a great programme and line-up of speakers. However, you will understand that the European Commission must respect the emergency measures it and Member States have taken to limit the spread of the virus and that the health and safety of our audience, speakers and staff must be the priority.
Nevertheless, the debate on the economic policies needed to overcome this pandemic and enable our economies to recover is already well underway, and the Brussels Economic Forum wants to stay at the forefront of the exchange of ideas, as it has been for 20 years.
We are now planning a revisited Brussels Economic Forum in a digital format to take place in early September with a new programme that reflects the unprecedented economic and social challenges that the EU and the world are facing.
We will keep you updated on the new date and format. Rest assured that debate, high quality speakers and topical themes will remain at the heart of our agenda.
