The European Commission and the European Research Executive Agency (REA) have published new information packages for researchers and staff members taking part in projects supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under Horizon Europe. These new publications provide useful, hands-on information and are a reference source for any researcher or staff member taking part in the programme.

The third call of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions-funded Postdoctoral Fellowships scheme closed on 13 September 2023. The European Research Executive Agency (REA) received 8,039 proposals. By comparison, 7,044 proposals were submitted in 2022. Through this call, the European Commission is expected to fund over 1,250 projects, with an indicative budget of €260.47 million.

The Lindau Meetings bring together Nobel Laureates and young researchers to foster scientific exchange between generations. In 2024, the Meeting will be dedicated to Physics and will take place from 30 June to 5 July. The European Commission is offering a limited number of MSCA fellows the unique opportunity to participate in the event and exchange experiences with Nobel Laureates.

This annual science fair interactively showcases Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) research projects and innovations through hands-on experiments, science shows, games and fun, inspiring activities. The 2024 edition will take place in-person in Brussels on 25 and 26 April 2024.

The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) is organising its annual conference and general assembly from 14 to 16 March 2024, in Milan, Italy. The theme of the conference will be “10 Years of MCAA: Past, Present and Future”. A call for sessions is currently open for proposals focusing on the areas of interest to the MCAA.

The European Commission has published a study that provides new insights on the impact of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) under Horizon 2020, the former EU research and innovation framework programme, two years after its end. The study covers funding instruments implemented under the “Excellent Science” pillar and assesses how the MSCA contributes to reinforcing and extending the excellence of the Union's science base and to consolidating the European Research Area.

This year, the event will take place in 26 countries on Friday 29 September 2023. Children, young people, and families will have the chance to meet researchers and discover research, science, and innovation through a wide range of science shows, hands-on experiments, games, quizzes, competitions, exhibitions, and digital activities.

The Annual EAIE Conference is Europe's most comprehensive higher education event, gathering over 6,000 professionals from all over the globe. The conference will take place in Rotterdam from 26 to 29 September 2023 and will offer over 250 events and activities around the theme “Connecting currents”. The MSCA will be featured in four sessions, on connecting education and research, international cooperation and a Q&A session about the programme.

According to the MSCA Green Charter, activities funded by the programme should be performed as sustainably as possible. This lunchtime session will be taking a closer look at the Charter and present the preliminary results of a recently completed survey on the Charter's implementation, and share guidance materials with the participants, as well as tips and good practice examples from past and current beneficiaries.

MSCA fellows and alumnae are eligible to apply. The prize celebrates the women entrepreneurs behind Europe’s most groundbreaking innovations. It rewards women from across the EU and countries associated to Horizon Europe, whose disruptive innovations are driving positive change for people and the planet.
