MSCA announces new calls worth over €1.7 billion to support researchers and organisations in 2023 and 2024
|
The European Commission has announced new calls in 2023 and 2024 to support researchers’ training, skills and career development and organisations under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. The calls follow the adoption of the Horizon Europe 2023-2024 work programme. The MSCA will provide over €886 million in 2023 and €902 million in 2024, covering the five main actions of the work programme.

MSCA-NET: resources for MSCA applicants
|
The MSCA-NET provides support to MSCA applicants by MSCA National Contact Points. Visit the project's website to find resources, handbooks for researchers and organisations, FAQs, matchmaking tools and useful links to prepare your application. The project's MSCA matchmaking platform connects researchers, companies, supervisors, NGOs and academic institutions, allowing them to generate new contacts and future successful projects.

Intellectual Property for MSCA projects: webinar and resources
|
The European Intellectual Property (IP) Helpdesk provides free advice, resources and training on IP for EU-funded projects and researchers. A recent webinar for MSCA projects provided an overview of key aspects in the field of intellectual property management in Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions projects, like the specifics of MSCA grant and Consortium Agreements or relevant issues in writing MSCA proposals.

Horizon Results Booster – steering research towards a strong societal impact
|
Supported by the European Commission, Horizon Results Booster services are delivered to FP7, H2020, and HE projects at no cost. These free-of-charge services are provided by experts and cover several paths in Dissemination and Exploitation activities, notably Portfolio Dissemination and Exploitation, Business Plan Development, and Go to Market service. A recent info session covered information about the services and include testimonials from those who have already benefited from Horizon Results Booster.

Reset: Gender and diversity in research and innovation: RESET webinar and resources
|
The EU-funded RESET project develops guidance and tools for the integration of gender and diversity into research projects, such as a checklist and guidelines for Gender Impact Assessment. The project recently organised the webinar “#RESET your project with gender”, which provided hands-on guidance for research projects. The webinar included presentations from representatives of the European Commission and researchers who succeeded in the submission of gender-sensitive project proposals for European funding calls.

|
The Commission launched the largest public consultation ever held on the past, present and future of the EU’s Horizon research and innovation programmes 2014-2027. In line with the Commission’s effort towards Better Regulation, stakeholders will be able to share their views on the performance of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, as well as shaping the strategic orientations for the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2025-2027.

Bridging research and legal practice on environmental and social justice

Anna Berti Suman is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy. Nobel Prizes in Physics and Chemistry go to former MSCA supervisors
|
|
The Nobel Prize in Physics 2022 has been awarded to Alain Aspect and Anton Zeilinger, both of whom took part in the MSCA as supervisors, and to John F. Clauser. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded them the prestigious science price “for experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science”.
