The portal is a one-stop-shop for information and support services to Ukraine-based researchers and researchers fleeing Ukraine. The portal brings together initiatives at EU level, per country and from non-governmental groups. It aims to help affected researchers find housing and job opportunities, facilitate the recognition of their diplomas, and offer other services. MSCA projects are encouraged to post their vacancies for Ukrainian researchers through the "Science4Refugees" tab in the portal.

The MSCA funded project Inspireurope facilitates national initiatives and programmes in support of researchers at risk. Their website includes several resources, webinars, publications and contacts for prospective employers and host institutions in Europe seeking to support researchers at risk.

All MSCA beneficiaries are encouraged to take measures to facilitate the participation of researchers at risk, including Ukrainian scholars. If your organisation is considering to host researchers at risk, these guidelines provide useful background and recommend ways to improve their recruitment. They have been developed by the Commission with the Inspireurope project, a Europe-wide initiative to support researchers at risk funded by the MSCA.

The results of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) 2021 call for Postdoctoral Fellowships have been announced by the European Commission. 1156 experienced post-doctoral researchers will get support to work at top universities, research centres, private organisations and SMEs in Europe and the rest of the world. All applicants have been informed about their individual proposals.

If your proposal to MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2022 was not retained for funding and scored 85 or more, you will be awarded an MSCA Seal of Excellence. The certificates will be delivered by early May 2022 through the Funding and Tenders Opportunities Portal. Through EURAXESS you will find hundreds of hosting offers from organisations interested in supporting your application to MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2022. Research institutions, universities, businesses or organisations involved in research and innovation can also post their hosting opportunities to find the best researchers.

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships support researchers’ careers and foster excellence in research. The action targets researchers holding a PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers. Funded researchers gain experience in other countries, disciplines and non-academic sectors. The next call will open on 12 May 2022.

MSCA Doctoral Networks provide support partnerships of organisations from different socio-economic sectors across Europe to implement doctoral programmes. The aim is to train highly skilled doctoral candidates, stimulate their creativity, enhance their innovation capacities and boost their employability in the long-term.The next call will open on 12 May 2022.

The award recognises and celebrates outstanding projects that have used their results to provide value for society with 6 awards of €25,000 each and wide publicity for winners. These projects must have been funded by FP7 and/or Horizon 2020 funding programmes, including the MSCA, and they must be closed by the time of application.

This workshop organised by Aristotle University and the MSCA-funded Inspireurope project will bring together representatives from academia, NGOs, national and EU authorities, professional and industry associations and researchers at risk to share experiences and information on existing support and funding programs as well as good practices to promote cooperation across Europe in support of researchers at risk, notably in South East Europe.

The next Marie Curie Alumni Association Annual Conference and General Assembly will take place on 26 and 27 May 2022 and address the topic “Sustainability & the Post-Pandemic Workplace”. Register now – applications are open to MCAA members only.

The plans will be required for all public bodies, higher education institutions and research organisations in the EU and associated countries wishing to participate in Horizon Europe, including the MSCA. The next trainings will be organised for organisations based in Poland (28 April), Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (25 May), and Cyprus (23 June).

The European Research Executive Agency (REA) invites experts from a wide range of fields to register in the European Commission’s experts database. From this database, REA selects candidates to evaluate project proposals applying for funding under Horizon Europe, the Promotion of Agricultural Products programme and the Research Fund for Coal and Steel and to monitor the implementation of funded projects.

The Commission launched a manifesto to maximise the accessibility of research results in the fight against COVID-19 in July 2020. It provides guiding principles for beneficiaries of EU research grants for coronavirus prevention, testing, treatment and vaccination to ensure that their research results will be accessible for all. Individuals and organisations can both endorse it.
