Municipalities across the EU will have a final chance to apply for a voucher to fund the installation of free WIFI networks in their communities, starting 17 March 2020 at 13.00 CET, until 17.00 CET on 18 March 2020.

The date of the third call of the WiFi4EU voucher initiative has been announced for 19 September 2019 at 13:00 CEST. With a call budget of EUR 26.7 million, the Commission will distribute 1,780 vouchers across European municipalities on a first come, first served basis.

The winners of WiFi4EU call announced! (07/12/2018)
The first 2,800 municipalities that have won a WiFi4EU voucher have been announced. Those municipalities, which did not win a voucher this time, can apply for the next calls. A second call will be launched in the beginning of 2019.

We are happy to announce that the Commission will launch the WiFi4EU call for proposals tomorrow, 7th November at 13:00 (Brussels time). The call will be open for just two days, but remember: the vouchers will be given on a “first-come, first-served” basis! Once registered, municipalities will be able to apply online with just one click to win the vouchers, worth €15,000 each.
