Joint DG Competition and US DoJ message | Cartels and informants
Inside knowledge and assistance can be a powerful tool to help the European Commission uncover inter alia cartels and other anti-competitive practices more swiftly than might otherwise be possible. Since cartels often operate in secrecy, individuals or companies with inside or market knowledge can play a crucial role in bringing issues to our attention or gathering information that would allow us to start an investigation. They can also contribute to the success of our investigations in other areas of competition enforcement, i.e. antitrust, merger and state aid control. This video encourages individuals and companies that suspect that their employers, suppliers, customers or competitors are engaged in a cartel to come forward and provide us voluntarily with any relevant information. We can assure them of full anonymity in this process. Those who have suspicions of a cartel should step forward so that we can ensure a fair deal for businesses and consumers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Training of national judges in EU competition law and judicial cooperation between national competition law judges
The objective of this call for proposals is to co-finance projects aiming to train national judges in the context of enforcing European competition rules. This includes public and private enforcement of both the Antitrust rules and the State aid rules, thereby increasing the knowledge and know-how of national judges. The final aim is to ensure a coherent and consistent application of EU competition law by national courts.
