The Conference on the Future of Europe is a unique and timely opportunity for European citizens to debate on Europe’s challenges and priorities. No matter where you are from or what you do, this is the place to think about what future you want for the European Union.
Your ideas will be collected, analysed, monitored and published on the platform, throughout the Conference. They will then feed into the discussions taking place in the European citizens’ Panels and the Plenaries. A feedback mechanism will ensure that the ideas expressed during the Conference events result in concrete recommendations for EU action.

Commission approves 2022-2027 regional aid map for Czechia
|
|
The European Commission has approved under EU State aid rules Czechia's map for granting regional aid from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2027. The Czech regional aid map is the first map approved by the Commission within the framework of the revised Regional aid Guidelines (“RAG”).

Commission approves €30.5 billion French scheme to support production of electricity from renewable energy sources
|
|
The European Commission has approved, under EU State aid rules, a French aid scheme to support renewable electricity production. The measure will help France achieve its renewable energy targets without unduly distorting competition and will contribute to the European objective of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

Commission approves €525.3 million German aid in favour of airline Condor in context of coronavirus outbreak
|
|
The European Commission has found an aid package by Germany in favour of the airline Condor to be in line with EU State aid rules. The approval of the aid package, based on three separate Commission's decisions, relates to two measures to compensate Condor for damages suffered as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, worth in total €204.1 million, and €321.2 million of restructuring support to enable Condor's return to viability.

The European Commission has approved, under EU State aid rules, a €800 million Italian scheme to compensate airports and ground-handling operators for the damage suffered due to the coronavirus outbreak and the travel restrictions that Italy and other countries had to implement to limit the spread of the virus.

Commission approves acquisition of Telekom Romania by Orange, subject to conditions
|
|
The European Commission has approved, under the EU Merger Regulation, the proposed acquisition of Telekom Romania Communications by Orange SA. The approval is conditional on the divestiture of TKR's 30% minority shareholding in Telekom Romania Mobile Communications, which is a direct competitor of Orange.

Open tender procedure for: Commission Assessment of Future Market Entry, Expansion and Imports in EU Merger Decisions
|
With a view to improving its enforcement practice in merger control, the European Commission intends to evaluate whether its ex-ante assessments of future market developments, such as entry, expansion or imports, as set out in the EC’s merger decisions were correct.
The deadline to submit tenders to this open procedure is 15 September 2021.
