Welcome to the EU Academy course owners newsletter! We are delighted to share with you this very first edition, which hopefully will become a dynamic source of information for our vibrant community of publishers. Our goal is to send a new edition of the newsletter every two months, sharing with you news about the platform, the courses available on it and the upcoming trainings and course clinics.
We strongly believe that the success of the EU Academy depends not only on its dedicated project team, but also on the dynamic course owner community that over the past two and a half years has grown around it, now almost 400 strong! Please feel free to invite colleagues who might be interested to join the subscription list.

Over 100,000 users learning on the EU Academy
|
|
August brought us the excellent news of reaching our milestone of 100,000 users of the platform. Not many months ago, we were excited to have reached 1,000 accounts. Then, we celebrated the 10,000 users. We cannot wait to achieve the major milestone of one million EU Academy users!

Developments on the EU Academy platform
|
|
Since the EU Academy’s soft-launch, back in November 2020, we have been working tirelessly to roll out new functionalities and perfect existing ones. Today the platform counts with many new features and improvements, and over the next issues of the newsletter we will bring you up to date on what is changing. Keep on reading to learn about podcasts, micro-learning, video channels, assessments and learning plans.

Featured on the EU Academy
|
|
In this edition, we would like to introduce our colleague Lene Topp, from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, who is in charge of the course “Science for Policy – Maximise your Policy Impact”. This was the first course whose development was overseen by the EU Academy team. We are thrilled to see the course’s success as evidenced in its enrolments: it has now over 1,500 learners from all over the world.

Test, test, test… then deploy
|
|
We will be rolling out significant upgrades to the platform in the coming year, and would like to hear from any colleagues who would be willing to help with product testing before we deliver changes in our live production environment.

Quick Start Training Courses
|
|
The Quick Start Course is the first introduction to the EU Academy. You need to participate in this course to gain access to the EU Academy training platform, and to obtain publishing rights on the EU Academy (Course Owner status).

Course Clinics are bi-weekly sessions where you can come with any specific question related to your content on the EU academy: questions related to the platform to content development or anything else. We will welcome you with our support team and make sure that you will leave with your question answered.
