President Juncker presents the State of the Union 2016
Every September the President of the European Commission delivers his 'State of the Union' speech before the European Parliament, taking stock of the past year's achievements and presenting his priorities for the year ahead. All the important texts from this year's speech of 14 September have now been assembled in one publication: the speech itself, the President's letter of intent on the priorities, a summary of the progress on the Commission's 10 priorities and more.

'The EU and the refugee crisis' – first factsheet in new series back in stock in all EU languages
Following high demand from Representations and Europe Direct Information Centres in August and September, 'The EU and the refugee crisis' factsheet was temporarily out of stock in certain languages. It is now back in stock and available to order. The factsheet is the first in a new series of short, easy-to-read factsheets on the 10 Commission priorities. The second factsheet, entitled 'The EU and jobs, growth and investment', will be published soon – details to follow in the next Publications Update.
