Over 200 Climate Pact Ambassadors, Partners and Country Coordinators gathered in Brussels to share ideas and examples of best practices for local climate action. 
Four breakout sessions allowed members of the Pact community to contribute to discussions on empowering citizens, building partnerships, localising climate action and fighting disinformation. 
In the afternoon, participants had an opportunity to ask their questions to Commissioner for Climate Action Wopke Hoekstra. 
As part of a panel on climate action on the ground with Commissioner for Climate Action Wopke Hoekstra, Climate Pact Ambassador Luisa Barateiro put the spotlight on the need to ensure a just transition and support vulnerable groups. 
Commissioner Hoekstra stressed that the science is clear on the need for urgent climate action and emphasised the importance of working together to drive it.

Description
On 5 March 2024, over 200 members of the European Climate Pact community from across Europe gathered in Brussels to work on new ways to spark climate action in their local communities.
In the afternoon, they were joined by Commissioner for Climate Action Wopke Hoekstra for a discussion on how the Pact Community on the ground can shape the way forward for EU climate action.
