The policy on reducing methane is completely flawed. Agriculture accounts for 14%of The world methane. But Only 7% is coming from animal farmers. But the bog's And wetlands of the world is producing 45% of the worlds methane. If we replace animal in the whole world and replace it with Corp farming. It's only going to reduce methane By 1% if at all. The The hardship would be catastrophic. And even trying to stop All the livestock farming in the world would definitely lead to wars.now that the problem but hears the solution if we drain Only a seventh of the worlds wetlands and bogs. That would be More methane taken out of the atmosphere than killing All the livestock farming in the world. But we don't even need to drain all of the seventh of the bogs and wetlands. By simply changing the management. And applying biology and the harvesting of the methane producing organisms and turning them into renewable energy. This would create jobs. And help feed the 151 million staving people of the world. Being green doesn't have to mean living in poverty.and hunger. For fifty years we have been trying to save the planet. And failed .
I would like a real global agricultural carbon removal exchange platform, as a prosecution of the 4x1000 initiative launched in COP 21 with Paris agreement. Like EUTS. This in my opinion is the only serious initiative in order to have a significant impact on climate. We have all the technology and knowledge to realise that environment. Agricultural land represents 36% of continents surface it's the biggest solar panel we have.
