New call for proposals and info day to foster energy transition in fisheries

With a budget of EUR 2.2 million, the EU is planning to fund a demonstrator project of a retrofitted fishing vessel to foster energy transition in fisheries. The deadline to submit proposals is 11 June. CINEA has organised an info day to present the call context and explain the application process. The recording is online.

Managing the BUILD UP web portal: new call for tenders open

The new call for tenders concerns the operation, maintenance, improvement and promotion of the BUILD UP interactive web portal. BUILD UP is Europe's reference portal for energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings. It is a requirement for the European Commission from the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. The objective is to support Member States in the implementation of the Directive, namely through information sharing and awareness raising over the main regulatory, technology and market trends in the building sector. Deadline for applications is Friday 17 May 2024.

The Horizon Results Booster supports EU-funded research projects to boost the exploitation of results, disseminate effectively, and go to market. Its free support services are available for closed and ongoing projects funded by FP7, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe programmes.

Innovation Fund auction: 132 bids received from 17 European countries

The total support requested in the first auction far exceeded the EUR 800 million budget. All bids taken together provide for a total planned electrolyser capacity of 8.5 gigawatts. Over ten years, this represents a total production volume of 8.8 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen.

Over 650 experts attended the leading conference on the energy transition and climate neutrality to discuss net-zero industries, energy communities, and clean energy technologies. The LIFE Programme had a dedicated stand at the event and different LIFE Clean Energy Transition projects and initiatives showcased their activities.
