Three calls are currently open ahead of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) whether it is to have a stand at the Energy Fair, to give recognition to today's and tomorrow's young leaders or to give visibility to events in Europe and beyond by making them part of the Sustainable Energy Days.

The LIFE calls for proposals 2024 are expected to be published on the Funding & Tender Opportunities portal on 18 April 2024.

Over 70 projects funded by the Horizon transport research programme took to the stage at the annual flagship event for Road Transport Research results (RTR) held in Brussels on 5-7 February 2024. The event provided a forum for projects to engage with policymakers and share their ideas, methodologies and results.

CINEA has launched a new digital tool to illustrate the joint EU support to the industrial carbon management emerging market and the synergies between the programmes that the Agency manages. The tool allows viewers to interactively discover how the EU funding is distributed across the sector, what projects have received support and how these projects contribute to drive the European clean-tech innovation in the sector.

Organised for the first time in 2024 by the European Commission, the European Ocean Days will be a full week focussed on maritime topics. From 4 to 8 March, the event will cover the EU Mission Ocean and Waters, future priorities for Europe’s Seas, blue innovation, as well as ocean literacy.

The World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED) 2024, scheduled from 5 to 8 March in Wels, Austria, is a leading conference on energy transition and climate neutrality. The LIFE Programme will have a dedicated stand at the event to showcase its activities.

On 7 March, the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) joint event will be co-hosted by CINEA, the Smart Square project, and LIFE projects from the LIFE CET SRI Cluster.

On 10 February 2009, 370 mayors gathered to officially launch the Covenant of Mayors. Over these years, CINEA has strongly supported the initiative providing EU funds for developing projects working on the development of local energy and climate action plans, and aiming to translate the EU Green Deal into local action.
