EU renewable energy financing mechanism: €40 million awarded to 8 solar PV projects
Following the successful conclusion of the first tender of the EU renewable energy financing mechanism on 27 September 2023, 8 solar photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 282.77 MW have been awarded funding.
EUR 396 million allocated under the LIFE Programme
The European Commission has announced EUR 396 million in funding for 171 new LIFE projects across Europe, including for the Clean Energy Transition sub-programme, mobilising a total investment of more than EUR 722 million.

The Ecoplanta project is recycling non-recyclable waste
A new first-of-its-kind commercial plant in Spain is creating circular products out of waste that would otherwise be destined for landfill. The Ecoplanta project leverages innovation to tackle a vital environmental challenge and received EUR 106 million from the Innovation Fund.
