On 23 September European Organic Day took place. The initiative was coordinated by LIFE-funded IFOAM Organics Europe. The winners of the prestigious European Organic Awards were announced two days later.

Europe’s leading freshwater experts united at the XVII European Congress of Ichthyology to discuss a broad scope of scientific topics on various fields of fish research. During the Congress, a symposium was organised to present the LIFE Programme.

On 29 September, Ministers from the eight Baltic Sea Member States attended the Our Baltic Conference to discuss the current environmental challenges of the Baltic Sea. Many LIFE projects are committed to tackling these issues.

The European Congress of Entomology is hosted in Heraklion (Greece) from 16 to October 20. The LIFE Programme is present at this major European entomological meeting.

The annual conference gathers cities, industries and financial institutions to exchange good practices and successful solutions to common challenges at local level. Join and learn about successful and pioneering initiatives, for example, in encouraging change at local level, financing energy efficiency in the public and private sector, and boosting home renovations and energy communities. On 27 October, the LIFE-IP EKOMALOPOLSKA project will attend the European Climate Stocktake taking place in Brussels (Belgium). The event aims to contribute to the reflection on the EU and the world’s progress towards the Paris Agreement. The LIFE programme will be represented at the CINEA stand.

Aquatech, a global leader in water purification technology, is scheduled to take place from 6 to 9 November 2023 in Amsterdam (the Netherlands). The LIFE Programme will be present there.

From 7 to 10 November 2023, the LIFE Programme will participate in Ecomondo 2023, a prominent event in Europe and the Mediterranean Basin which is dedicated to the green and circular economy. It will be held in Rimini (Italy).

The European Vulture Conference 2023 will take place from 14 to 17 November in Cáceres (Spain). This event will bring together vulture conservationists, researchers and enthusiasts from around the world. The conference is organised by the Vulture Conservation Foundation within the framework of LIFE Aegypius Return.
