Upcoming EU Hydrogen Bank pilot auction: Terms & Conditions published

The European Commission has published the Terms and Conditions for the pilot auction dedicated to European renewable hydrogen production. It is an important step towards scaling up the production of renewable hydrogen in the EU, and achieving EU Green Deal goals. The auction, funded by the Innovation Fund, is intended to open in November 2023.

“Cylinders” revolutionising the transport of natural gas

Prototypes of a cylinder that can economically transport CNG (compressed natural gas), developed under the Horizon 2020 project GASVESSEL, are already in production. Using an innovative production process and a new type of carbon fibre that can operate at high pressure, the breakthrough was featured in Italy’s leading financial newspaper, "Il Sole 24 Ore" (article in Italian).

Combining offshore renewable energy and aquaculture

The AquaWind project is developing an innovative prototype consisting of a floating platform combining a wind turbine and aquaculture facilities. Upgrading landfill gas into grid-compliant biomethane in Spain

The Waga 4 World (W4W) project is already producing cost competitive and grid-compliant biomethane from landfill gas using the WAGABOX® technology at the Can Mata site located at Els Hostalets de Pierola (Catalonia Region).
