EUSEW 2023 starts on 20 June!

With more than 60 sessions and 300 speakers, the 17th edition of the European Sustainable Energy Week will take place in Brussels and online and will focus on:

  • skills for the clean energy transition;
  • energy efficiency;
  • ensuring affordability and inclusion;
  • renewables;
  • decarbonisation and international energy systems.

European Maritime Day 2023: bringing innovation under the spotlight

CINEA took part in the European Maritime Day 2023 in Brest, France on 24 and 25 May to discuss funding opportunities for a sustainable blue economy and accelerating the energy transition. The event also allowed some remarkable EU-funded projects to highlight their contribution in the field.

2023 LIFE Awards: winners announced

The award winners were selected from hundreds of LIFE projects across the EU supporting the European Green Deal that ended during the last two years. They mark outstanding achievements in three categories: nature protection, environment and climate action.

16 grants from the EU’s Innovation Fund awarded to projects across Europe

The projects aim to bring low-carbon technologies to the market in energy-intensive industries, hydrogen, energy storage and renewable energy sectors. They will benefit from grants amounting to a total of around EUR 60 million, funded by revenues from the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS).

New achievement in solvent-free painting process

The Electron Beam technology and Ultra Violet (EB UV) project produced in February 2023 the very first pre-painted steel coil using Electron Beam technology. By replacing the gas-fired paint film curing ovens and solvent incinerator with the innovative technology EB, this Innovation Fund project contributes to the EU Green Deal objectives.
