Deadline to apply for a policy session at EUSEW is approaching

The European Sustainable Energy Week will take place from 20 to 22 June in a hybrid format. The ongoing call to organise a session and is open to public authorities, energy agencies, industry associations, businesses, civil society organisations, the media, etc. The format of the sessions is up to you (presentation, workshop, panel discussion, etc.) – a creative approach is encouraged! Deadline to apply: 1 February.

Finance green energy projects via the Public Sector Loan facility of JTM - follow the Info Day

Heat pipe technology for thermal energy recovery in industrial applications

Waste heat is a common challenge in industries requiring high temperatures. With the help of heat exchangers, waste heat can be recovered and channeled to other processes within the same facility. The ETEKINA project developed and tested a new type of heat-pipe-heat-exchanger (HPHE) for energy-intensive industries.

Maximising the power of wind to fuel ships

The EU-funded project SEAWING4BLUE is developing a large wing structure capturing wind more stably for the propulsion of vessels. The main advantages are its independence from fossil fuels, the use of an unlimited renewable energy source and the possibility to retrofit existing ships.

Aspiring wingsails to increase energy efficiency in the fishing sector

The main goal of the EU-funded project Aspiring wingsails is to develop, test and validate the novel Wind Assisted Propulsion System for fishing vessels developed by bound4blue. With the new improved sail, the initial fuel savings will be more than doubled. The solution will also be suitable for merchant and passenger ships.
