Cache increase

Site affected:

https://commission.europa.eu/

A five minute delay of cache clearing will be added to all non-authenticated Drupal paths (pages seen as a visitor). The update will be implemented on the site on the following day:

  • Thursday 13 April at 9.00

This change has two positive impacts:

  • The overall security of Drupal infrastructure will be protected against DDOS attacks
  • An improvement of performance by supporting highly visited content

The site will remain available to visitors and editors. The change will only affect how quickly updated or new content is visible for visitors. Please be aware of the following:

  • As an editor, your content change(s) will be published and available after a maximum of five minutes
  • COMM EUROPA MANAGEMENT cannot expedite the five minutes delay by clearing the cache

Please note that the cache configuration has already been updated for the acceptance website. Therefore, if you perform tests on acceptance, you will experience a maximum of five minutes delay for updates to become visible.

If you detect issues following the maintenance, please inform europamanagement@ec.europa.eu.
