Hello everyone,

We have just one year until the legal deadline to implement the Once-Only Technical System. As attested to by some of the articles below, teams from the Member States are already working hard to prepare for this. We are excited to share more stories on your respective implementations.

2023 will see Implementers Cafés, Projectathons, hands-on webinars and other important milestones, all dedicated to making the implementation of the Once-Only Technical System a success. We especially recommend taking some time over the holidays to read the OOTS Projectathon Playbook, prepared exclusively to help you prepare for these events.

In the meantime, we wish everyone all the best during the holidays, and look forward to continuing the journey in 2023.

Commission releases new features and resources on Once-Only Hub

This release includes both general updates to the content and structure of the site, and additional resources available for those working to implement the Once-Only Technical System (including the OOTS Projectathon Playbook).

Nordic and Baltic countries start practical preparations to implement Europe’s ‘Once-Only’ Technical System

A group of Nordic and Baltic countries are working together on the ‘Single Digital Gateway Once-Only Principle Proofs of Concepts pilots project’, funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Cross Border Digital Services programme.

Member States & national Implementers take stock one year ahead of December 2023 deadline to launch the Once-Only Technical System

Participants in two key events noted that with 12 months to go until the Once-Only Technical System Implementation deadline, the project has entered a critical phase.

France showcases Once-Only commitment at SEMIC 2022

Mr Attia, French CTO for European Single Digital Gateway, noted that the implementation of the Once-Only Technical System is a large-scale project involving all 27 EU Member States. It will bring together over 100,000 local and regional authorities and over 5000 higher education institutions across the EU.
