5 October: Online EU Budget Talk "The EU as an issuer : the NextGenerationEU transformation"

After more than one year of borrowing on capital markets under the NextGenerationEU, we take stock of how this has impacted the Commission’s funding strategy in practice, how the Commission's has been delivering on its mandate and the wider impact of this borrowing on the European capital markets.

To that end, the European Commission’s borrowing and lending team is organising an online event The EU as an issuer : the NextGenerationEU transformation".

The discussion will be centered around the recently published EU budget policy brief "The EU as an issuer : the NextGenerationEU transformation". Following a brief overview of this paper, an interactive discussion with panelists from the financial market will take place. Questions from the audience will be welcome.
