#EURegionsWeek 2020 is starting soon!
Registration deadline to #EURegionsWeek 2020 extended

Following the exceptional situation we are all facing this year, the organisers have decided to extend the registration deadlines to #EURegionsWeek 2020.

Registration to sessions is fully digital, based on the principle of first-registered-first-served. Register now to the sessions you do not want to miss! No on-site audience will be allowed at this year's #EURegionsWeek, participation in sessions is digital only!

Week 1 - Let’s build the future together

The first week of this year's #EURegionsWeek is dedicated to the thematic cluster Empowering Citizens. Check out the online programme and discover interesting working sessions on topics ranging from e-democracy, co-creation in public services, entrepreneurship and many more.

During the first week, from the 5 to 11 October, we will also travel through time to rediscover Europe together. Each day a new episode of a mini-documentary will be broadcasted on the On Line video platform. Each episode presents the evolution of the EU and the birth of cohesion policy and its impact on the EU's construction. After each broadcast, two speakers will discuss live the episode and ask you to send questions/remarks to feed the debate and the upcoming Citizens’ dialogue planned on the 12 October.

Join us and share your thoughts and ideas with us!

Week 2 - Come and engage with us around Cohesion & Cooperation

The second week of this year's #EURegionsWeek is dedicated to the thematic cluster Cohesion and Cooperation. Taking place from 12 to 16 October, this week includes the highest number of working sessions, together with all the political highlights.

Do not miss the debate on the "Annual Regional and Local Barometer - State of the Union from the regional and local perspective", between CoR President Tzitzikostas and EC President Von der Leyen and the official Opening of the #EURegionsWeek 2020. Certainly follow the Citizen’s Dialogue - a live debate and exchange between Commissioner Ferreira and young EU citizens, the awarding Regiostars ceremony of the excellent and innovative projects financed by cohesion policy, and the take aways of #EURegionsWeek at the Closing ceremony. Watch them live on our online video platform!

Discover the interactive exhibition of projects and initiatives around Cohesion and Cooperation, which will be available on the event website.

Week 3 - From #EURegionsWeek to Green Week

The third week of this extended edition of the #EURegionsWeek, from 19 to 22 October, will revolve around the theme Green Europe.

On 19 October, the week will begin with the Opening of the Green Week (organised by DG Environment) in Lisbon with Commissioner Sinkevičius and Commissioner Ferreira as a handover moment with the European Week of Regions and Cities.

The programme of the third week is fully dedicated to the Green Europe theme, with a variety of working sessions on topics such as localizing the green deal, energy efficiency and biodiversity.
