On 22 November High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini and Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn will be in Turkey for the High Level Political Dialogue between the European Union and Turkey.
On 16 - 18 November, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn will be in Tunis, Tunisia, to participate in the high-level international conference « Re-Thinking the Euro-Mediterranean Cultural Partnership” at the Cité de la Culture.
Ukraine has made progress in a number of important areas over the past year, but several outstanding reforms still need to be reinforced so that Ukrainian citizens can fully reap the benefits of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and its Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.
Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn is in Kyiv, today and tomorrow, to take stock of reforms in Ukraine with key actors. He will also hand over the annual implementation report on the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
The Commissioner will meet with key political authorities of the country including President Poroshenko, Prime Minister Groysman and Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin. He will also meet with representatives of civil society organisations just few days after the sad news of the passing of Kateryna Handziuk. Commissioner Hahn will reiterate that attacks against civil society activists are unacceptable and that the perpetrators of this crime and other attacks must be brought to justice.
Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn is in Minsk, today and tomorrow for an official bilateral visit to Belarus and to attend the Munich Security Conference (MSC) core group meeting. At the MSC core group meeting, Commissioner Hahn will address the roundtable on transnational security, where he will call for a joint inclusive approach for the security challenges faced across the region, notably by maintaining open channels of communication and fostering mutual understanding. As part of the official bilateral visit he will meet with Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas and Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. The Commissioner will also meet human rights defenders including representatives of civil society and media organisations. The European Commission has today unveiled a new tool to help all schools in the EU, as well as in Russia, Georgia and Serbia, to assess how they use digital technology for teaching and learning. In the EU, SELFIE (Self-reflection on Effective Learning by Fostering the use of Innovative Educational Technologies) will be offered to 76.7 million students and teachers in 250,000 schools on a voluntary basis. It is being launched in 24 EU languages with more language versions to follow. Any interested school (upper primary, secondary and vocational education schools) can sign up on the SELFIE platform and run the self-reflection in their school.The Commission's goal is to reach 1 million students, teachers and school leaders by the end of 2019.

Commissioner Hahn signed a new €50 million programme to support Jordan's justice sector reform efforts to enhance the rule of law, effectiveness of the justice sector and access to justice. With this programme, the EU has provided nearly €2 billion in support to Jordan since 2011.
