Portugal: Leaflets on migration and health published in ten languages

The Directorate-General for Health (DGS) in Portugal released a set of six information leaflets on migration and health. The aim with their publication is to support migrants to better understand their health-related rights and how to access health care in Portugal.

The leaflets focus on the areas of family panning, vaccination, access to health care, mental health, pregnancy, and useful contacts, and have been made available in ten different languages: English, Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic, Nepali, Hindi, Urdu, Romanian, Portuguese and Mandarin. They can be viewed online or downloaded, and have also been distributed to the country's five Regional Health Administrations, the High Commissioner for Migration (ACM), and non-governmental organisations and associations that work with migrants.
