On 15 September 2015, the Polish Prime Minister appointed an inter-governmental Committee to deal with the issue of resettlement and relocation of refugees. The aim of the new body is to coordinate activities of the government administration and to cooperate with NGOs, churches, religious associations and municipalities to ensure effective resettlement and relocation on the territory of Poland. One of the tasks of the Committee will be to elaborate integration plan for resettled or relocated refugees.
Among permanent members of the Committee are not only representatives of relevant ministries and state institutions, but also representatives of the Joint Commission of the Government and Territorial Self-Government and four NGOs: the Caritas Poland, the Refugee.pl Foundation, the Polish Centre for International Aid and the Polish Red Cross.
