
The research centre on Migration in the Mediterannean (MEDI) launched a call for papers for its 5th annual conference which will take place on 28 April 2023.
Relevant topics under this call would include:
- Immigration policies and territories - inclusion and exclusion;
- Work - integration, exploitation;
- Entrepreneurship and social mobility;
- Migration and gender;
- Civil society and solidarity with migrants and refugees;
- Xenophobia and racism;
- New generations - school, work, social participation;
- Transnational and reunited families;
- Immigration and religious pluralism;
- Refugees, reception measures, post-reception developments;
- Migration, media and political communication;
- Migrant networks, associationism and participation;
- Mobilisation and political activism;
- Intercultural mediation and social work;
- Marginality, prison, processes of social exclusion.
Those interested should submit a paper abstract, of no more than 600 words, by 25 February. Papers can be submitted in Italian, English, Spanish and French. Authors will receive a response to their submission by 15 March, and the final papers must then be submitted by 15 April.
