Ireland: Public consultation on anti-racism
The most recent Irish National Action Plan Against Racism (NAPAR) expired in 2008. Following a long campaign by civil society which called for its renewal, the Irish government established an advisory committee, the Anti-Racism Committee, to this end in 2020.
The committee published an interim report of its work and has now launched a public consultation on anti-racism in Ireland, which will feed into a new National Action Plan Against Racism.
The public consultation is now open for 12 weeks, from 21 April - 14 July 2021. Written submissions can be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. A series of consultation events will also be held, information on which will be published on the website of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
