The European Commission (EC) released a Ukrainian version of the EU Skills Profile Tool for Third-Country Nationals.
This comes as on 23 March, the EC outlined in a special announcement a number of concrete actions to support the EU countries in welcoming and meeting the needs of those fleeing the war in Ukraine. These actions are meant to help EU countries ensure refugees can effectively access their right to education, healthcare, accommodation and employment. The new language version of the tool is part of these actions.
The new language version is meant to make it easier for displaced people coming from Ukraine to showcase their skills and access jobs and other opportunities in the EU. A better understanding of refugees' skills and needs would also be of use to the EU host countries, employers, as well as organisations assisting the hiring process.
