AMIF funding in Portugal for training, pedagogical materials and studies
The Secretary General of the Portuguese Ministry of Internal Administration is accepting funding applications for initiatives to train and raise awareness among employees of public and private services that have an active role in welcoming and integrating third-country nationals (TCNs). The call will also support the creation of technical-pedagogical materials to support professionals and studies to define migration policies.
This funding opportunity is made available through the EU’s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). The total amount available is € 1,178,120.
The successful actions will focus on:
- Training for employees in national, regional or local public and private services working in the field of migrant integration.
- Awareness and clarification actions with employees working in different national, regional or local services, both public and private, who directly interact with TCNs, or those with a relevant role in the host community (e.g., schools, municipalities and parishes, security forces, courts of law).
- Technical-pedagogical resources to support professionals and/or volunteers and institutions that directly interact with TCNs.
- Research studies and projects (including master’s and doctoral theses) focusing on the hosting and/or integration of TCNs in Portugal.
Approved projects may benefit from a maximum co-financing rate of 75%. The duration of the projects should not exceed 36 months. Applications must be submitted electronically by 21 April 2020.
