Funding at the national level can be made available by one or several ministry(ies) or governmental agency(ies), depending on whether the country has adopted a centralised or transsectorial approach for its integration efforts. Grants, public tenders and calls for proposals can come from the national budget, private foundations, as well as European programmes. As the most important European programme for the integration of people with migrant background, the AMIF fund has a designated national coordinator in each Member State. A National Programme sets the country's priorities and periodically opens targeted funding opportunities for local grassroot organisations and other stakeholders working with migrants.
